A British Columbia 15-year-old broke two of his own Guinness World Records for stacking Jenga blocks -- and ended up becoming the basis for a Hallmark Christmas movie. Auldin Maxwell set his first Guinness World Record in 2021, when he stacked 638 Jenga blocks on a base composed of a single block. Maxwell has now broken both of his own records, stacking 1,840 Jenga blocks on a single block and 900 giant Jenga blocks on a single block. Maxwell's skills caught the attention of cable TV network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, which turned his story into the film “A World Record Christmas”. The film stars Nikki DeLoach, Lucas Bryant and Alias Dalman

On “Talking Pictures: A Movie Memories Podcast,” Mankiewicz will speak with directors and writers as they discuss their earliest film memories, favorite films, creative influences and guilty pleasures. Each episode of the series, a partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery corporate siblings TCM and Max, will run about 45 minutes. Among Mankiewicz’s guests: Mel Brooks, the 97-year-old EGOT winner (on the eve of the 50th anniversary of his landmark comedies “Young Frankenstein” and “Blazing Saddles”); Nancy Meyers (writer-director known for “Something’s Gotta Give,” “The Holiday,” “It’s Complicated”); and Patty Jenkins (writer-director known for “Wonder Woman,” “Monster”). The podcast is scheduled to debut Jan. 16, 2024, with new installments dropping weekly on Max and all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube. The show has been slated to run 10 episodes but that’s subject to change...
