The Native American Media Alliance, in partnership with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, has announced the selected fellows for the 4th Annual Native American Writers Seminar. The Native American Writers Seminar is a 2-month intensive that develops emerging indigenous writers. Each participant chosen for the seminar workshops an existing script with seasoned and established writers. Free Association, Plan B Entertainment, Jason Keller, Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady and Box To Box Films are on board to produce a docuseries and feature film centered on the famed Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) motorcycle races. They will take these projects out as a package later this year. Taking place on a small island nation in the Irish Sea, the race traces its heritage back to the early 1900s when road racing was outlawed in England, and racers found refuge on the Isle of Man. A single lap of the course is made up of 37.7 miles across the island’s road systems as the bikes tackle country lanes and city streets at speeds up to 200mph. It is the oldest, most dangerous, and arguably the greatest race on earth...

The ninth edition of the Moebius Film Festival, Creative Artists Agency’s annual screening series showcasing diverse graduate student filmmakers, is set to feature, for the first time, films from international schools. CAA Moebius, to run May 30 to 31 this year, will screen the usual live-action and animated short films directed by Los Angeles-based graduate student filmmakers from the American Film Institute Conservatory, the School of Film/Video at CalArts and the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.  But film students from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dublin and the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, England, along with New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, will also join this year’s program.
