Apple TV+ unveiled the premiere date for season two of its globally celebrated Emmy Award-winning workplace thriller “Severance” and shared a sneak peek showcasing what’s in store for the highly anticipated second season. Francis Ford Coppola has unveiled the latest collection to his travel portfolio, the All-Movie Hotel in Georgia’s Peachtree City, outside of Atlanta. With 27 rooms and suites all designed by Coppola, the hotel also features a state-of-the-art production facility with two edit suites with laser projection and Meyer Sound 2.1 monitoring, two edit bays, offices, ADR recording room and a conference room. Coppola said he was inspired while filming his latest project “Megalopolis” in Atlanta and wanted to create something that offered hospitality and the functionality needed to make films on any scale. “When I didn’t want to think about the movie, I would think about this hotel, and when I didn’t want to think about the hotel, I’d think about the movie,” Coppola said. The All-Movie hotel joins the Family Coppola Hideaways located in Belize, Guatemala, Argentina and Italy. The All-Movie hotel is the first U.S. location in the collection. “Inside Out 2” has become the highest-grossing film in the long and distinguished history of Pixar, the studio behind the animated phenomenon. The hit family film has earned $1.25 billion globally and passed “Incredibles 2,” the animation studio’s previous record holder that earned $1.24 billion worldwide over its run. “Inside Out 2” now ranks as the fourth highest-grossing animated movie of all-time, behind “Frozen” ($1.29 billion), “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($1.36 billion) and “Frozen II” ($1.45 billion). The “Frozen” franchise was released by Walt Disney Animation Studios, which shares a parent company with Pixar, while “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” was produced by Illumination and Universal. Expect “Inside Out 2” to keep climbing up the charts, shattering records as it ascends. Hugh Grant recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to mourn the closing of his local U.K. movie theater. Cineworld announced earlier this month it was closing down Picturehouse, a boutique arm of movie theater chains that includes Grant’s beloved Fulham Road cinemas. “Fulham Rd cinema closing after 94 years. Strangely unbearable,” Grant wrote to his followers. “Let’s all sit at home and watch ‘content’ on ‘streaming.’ While scrolling. Miserable face emoji.”...

Bette Midler is asking Disney to put the pedal to the metal when it comes to “Hocus Pocus 3.” While a third movie in the beloved Halloween franchise was officially announced in June 2022, Midler said on the QVC+ talk show “Busy This Week” (via Entertainment Weekly) that she has yet to see a script. That’s only an issue for the actor since she’s not getting any younger, nor are her longtime co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimi. “I haven’t seen the script, but I’ve heard rumblings,” Midler said about the third movie. “I think if they’re gonna, they oughta, because time is not just marching, time is barrel-assing to the finish line. Charlize Theron, Serena Williams, Rosalía and Omar Sy will be in Paris to kick off Olympics festivities at Prelude, an exclusive event co-hosted by Pharrell Williams and LVMH boss Bernard Arnault. Prelude will take place on the eve of the Opening Ceremony, on July 25, in Paris at the Foundation Louis Vuitton. Williams and Arnault will be hosting alongside Comcast NBCUniversal’s Brian Roberts and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The Olympic Games will be featured on Warner Bros. Discovery’s pay TV group Eurosport, and on its standalone service Max across Europe.
