Apple TV+ announced the premiere date for the third season of “Invasion,” the sweeping sci-fi drama series from Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy Award-nominated producer Simon Kinberg (“X-Men” films, “Deadpool” films, “The Martian”) and David Weil (“Hunters”). The 10-episode third season will make its global return on Friday, August 22 on Apple TV+ with one episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday through October 24, 2025...

Bond 26 is reportedly eying three stars as candidates for the new 007 as the film's theatrical window comes into view. Following Daniel Craig's exit as James Bond in 2021, it's been unclear who will replace him. Amazon has the reins for the franchise now, and it was just announced that Denis Villeneuve will direct Bond 26, meaning progress is being made on the new movie. Tom Holland, 29, Jacob Elordi, 28, and Harris Dickinson, 29, are at the top of the list when it comes to actors to take on the mantle of 007 in Bond 26. Amazon is reportedly looking to cast a British actor under the age of 30 in the role, meaning former frontrunners could be off the table. Though Elordi is Australian, the company is said to not be too fussed about this. The report also notes that no meetings with stars have happened at this stage. As for when the new movie will be released, Amazon is reportedly looking at a release at some point in 2028...

Five of Christopher Nolan's movies have made a new list of the greatest movies of the 21st century. While his directorial debut in Following came out in 1998, Nolan has really emerged as a filmmaker in the 2000s and cemented his iconic status over the last 25 years, with his breakout Memento, his Dark Knight trilogy, and his ambitious blockbusters. Now, Nolan's legacy as one of the greatest modern filmmakers is further cemented thanks to a new poll by The New York Times, ranking the best movies of the last 25 years. Nolan's work is well represented in the rankings, as he has had five movies make the list, more than any other filmmaker. The Dark Knight ranks the highest of Nolan's movies, placing at 28. It is followed by Inception at 58, Memento at 62, Oppenheimer at 65, and Interstellar at 89. Other filmmakers with multiple movies on the list include Quentin Tarantino and David Fincher, each with three movies, and Paul Thomas Anderson with four. Bong Joon-ho's Parasite topped the list...

A modern western film has suddenly become a success on streaming, and the sleeper hit is shooting up the charts on Amazon Prime Video. The genre is not as popular as it once was, but westerns can still be effective in the 21st century. Blending action, period costumes, and complex moral characters, the western is still versatile if handled correctly. less than a year after it debuted in theaters back in September 2024, The Thicket has quickly become a streaming hit on Amazon Prime Video. The Peter Dinklage and Juliettte Lewis vehicle made the charts on June 30, and has maintained the eighth position since then. It's the first time the movie has had wide exposure, and its theatrical release was limited. It was acquired by Tubi, but the modern western failed to gain much traction. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice director Tim Burton has teased his next project following the overwhelming success of his 2024 sequel. Picking up 36 years after 1988’s original Beetlejuice, the long-anticipated follow-up to Burton’s cult comedy horror generated a healthy $451.9 million in worldwide box office against an original budget of $99 million. Burton suggested that his next project will see him return to animation.
