According to the International
Boundry and Water Commission it is imperative
to have the cooperation of the United States
and Mexico to use the ground water resources
of the Bolson del Hueco aquifer wisely for
the benefit of the citizens of both nations.
In Juarez more than 180,000 do not have a
water meter causing an uncontrolled use of
water of 10,500 gallons/month/home. By installing
a water meter the consumption is reduced
to 7,300 gallons/month/home, saving 2,600
gallons per home. By providing water meters
to 450 homes in poverty cnditions, we will
help the city of Juarez to save 1,190,000
gallons/month. |
